Deftones, Isis dudes team for Palms

Deftones frontman Chino Moreno has teamed up with three members of acclaimed post-rock/metal outfit Isis to form Palms. The band has already completed a debut set for release this year on Ipecac Recordings. The album was recorded and mixed by Isis drummer Aaron Harris and produced by the band. Aaron Turner announces Split Cranium

Ex-Isis frontman/guitarist Aaron Turner has returned in Split Cranium. According to a press release, the group are a “highly satisfying blitzkrieg of Finnish/Amero punk perpetrated by Jussi Lehtisalo (Circle, Pharaoh Overlord), Jukka Kröger, Samae Koskinen (Steel Mammoth) and Aaron Turner (Mamiffer/ex-ISIS).” Their self-titled new offering will arrive in stores through Hydra Head on March 20. Pelican readies EP for Southern Lord

Pelican has confirmed that they will release a new EP in 2012, as originally reported by The Quietus.  Titled Ataraxia/Taraxis, the EP was tracked by Isis’ Aaron Harris and Sanford Parker and will be available on April 10 via Southern Lord Records.

Narrows finish mixing their new record
