Guided by Voices have announced that the “classic” GBV lineup that has been touring together as of late will release a new album on January 1.  Here’s the title and tracklist: Lets Go Eat the Factory: 1. “Laundry And Lasers”

The 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival will be taking place on Friday, July 15th through Sunday, July 17th at Chicago’s Union Park. Tickets went on sale on March 4th, and, as predicted, three-day passes already sold out. Samiam was recently featured on Switchboard Sessions. The band called in to record acoustic versions of “Mexico,” as well as “When We’re Together.” They also delivered some covers including Guided By Voices’ “Game of Pricks” and The Stooges’ “Search and Destroy.” Check it out here.

Guided By Voices have announced a New Year’s Eve show in NYC at Irving Plaza.  Tickets are $72, $75 on the day of the show.  We don’t think the tickets will last that long.  If you want to go, tickets go on sale Saturday, November 6 at 10am.
