Pelican has confirmed that they will release a new EP in 2012, as originally reported by The Quietus.  Titled Ataraxia/Taraxis, the EP was tracked by Isis’ Aaron Harris and Sanford Parker and will be available on April 10 via Southern Lord Records.

Former Isis drummer (and current producer/engineer/tech) Aaron Harris recently oversaw the drum tracking for Pelican‘s forthcoming outing. Harris has posted an update from the sessions over at his blog, Aaronharris-audio.com.
