Say Anything is getting away from that whole “insane frontman” angle that defined its previous albums. The band’s Say Anything appears in stores Oct. 13, and finds frontman Max Bemis finding balance against the demons that stalked him on previous albums.
“The running theme of the record is finding the mental superhero within yourself despite having seen some dark times,” he said in a statement. “After all of the stuff you’ve heard me sing and write about that overtook me for the better part of a decade, I finally found a way to fight back, and this is the story of how.”
