Canadian director Bruce McDonald, who did the movie about Broken Social Scene, is going to do one about Stars.  In an interview with the Chronicle Herald, McDonald revealed that the feature will be based around Stars’ forthcoming album, which will evidently be called Those Days Are Gone. Like This Movie Is Broken, this film looks to be based around a fictional storyline set against the backdrop of the band’s music.

The script was penned by Magnetic Fields collaborator Daniel Handler, aka children’s author Lemony Snicket. Interestingly, Handler played on Star’s In Our Bedroom After The War.

There’s no word as to when or where filming will take place.
