Southern Lord Records gives Poison Idea reissue treatment
Southern Lord Records are reissuing a bunch of records by Poison Idea. All of the upcoming redos will feature extensive liner notes, rare photos and a remastering job courtesy of Jack Control.
First up is the Darby Crash Rides Again: The Early Years compendium. Set to be released January 31, the 29-song collection gathers the “100 percent previously unreleased” Boner’s Kitchen demo from 1981, 1982′s Darby Crash Rides Again demo, a 1983 radio performance, and a handful of cuts that didn’t make it onto the group’s Record Collectors Are Pretentious Assholes EP.
From there, the label will fill 2012 with the following rereleases: The Fatal Erection Years (Pick Your King/Record Collectors Are Pretentious Assholes), 1987′s War All the Time, 1989′s Ian MacKaye, 1990′s Feel the Darkness, 1993′s We Must Burn and 2006′s Latest Will & Testament.
