Recessionista: Olsen Twins Produce Something Other Than Their Just Eaten Lunch
This may come as a surprise, but I love JC Penney. For a long time, I viewed the store as a place solely for buying pantsuits and big hats for church, maybe some ugly loafers. their designer collabs as of late haven’t been all that big-named or any of them a runaway success, but they have very cute and stylish clothes. Their full-priced items aren’t Recessionista worthy, but when you can catch a sale, you can score some great deals. Especially around a holiday, you can find great designs for 30-50% off regular retail.
That being said, they’ve totally disappointed me with the latest “designers” they’ve brought on board. America’s favorite poster girls for eating disorders, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have produced a line of juniors clothing for the department store. The collection is said to include denim, skirts, tops and handbags ranging between $20-$50. Luckily, since I have birthin’ hips that prevent me from wearing juniors clothing and only wear dresses, I should be able to avoid this train wreck all together. But, don’t say I didn’t warn the rest of you.
